The Story
This was on one of the hottest days of the year in Essex, about 50 miles from London. Charlie and Phil were on their way to the wedding car after the ceremony and had decided they didn't want any group pictures or a traditional 'confetti run' from the church. All of a sudden the two flower girls burst away from the guests and launched handfuls of confetti at the Bride and Groom. I reacted and managed to get a sequence of three or four pictures of the ensuing confetti explosion.
I love this picture as it sums up the girls' boundless energy that they displayed all day, weaving around the guests, twirling their dresses, generally having a thoroughly great time. I hope it evokes memories of a hot, summers day wedding when they're grown up, and they can remember that day with fondness.
